These popular schoolyard games can give the children in your ministry a glimpse of life in Kenya.

1. Make a Kenyan school-style soccer ball and play a game of soccer.
Supplies: Used plastic grocery bags or fabric scraps; yarn/twine.

2. Play hopscotch. Draw a grid in the dirt with a stick, and use stones to toss and pick up as you play.

3. Play a game of jacks using small rocks. (The student in this photo is using a small fruit as the ball!)

3. Play a game of jump rope. Construct the rope by tying clothes together.

4. Roll a bicycle tire with a stick, or a car tire by hand.

5. Play pass-the-water using just your hands and buckets of water.

This game is a competition between two teams to see who can fill an empty water bottle first.

To play, have each team line up with a 5-gallon bucket full of water on one end of the line and the last player in each line holding an empty water bottle. Both teams pass water as fast as they can down the line using just their hands to see which team can fill the water bottle first.
